OW Logistics bi-annual team meeting: A time to celebrate, strengthen and plan
Thought Leader
Eric Seamon
A couple of weeks back in September, we hosted the OW Logistics bi-annual team meeting in Nashville, USA. It’s an event that means a lot to me because it gives us time to reconnect, reflect, and chart our course for the future.
As a global company with offices across Asia, Europe, and North America, these in-person gatherings are truly invaluable—and this year was no exception. Alongside the OWL Asia and USA team, we welcomed several of our key vendor partners and customers. This mix made for an incredible few days, blending business strategy, celebration, and a little Nashville charm.
Reflecting on Our Achievements
The week kicked off with a warm welcome on Tuesday evening, mingling on the terrace over hors d’oeuvres and cocktails. The mornings that followed were packed with strategic sessions—updates on OWL's progress, insights into the current market landscape, and a look at our future plans, including OWL Vision 2.0.
I had the honor of opening our company update on Wednesday morning, reflecting on the strides we’ve made: building our OMS capabilities, expanding our footprint in Asia, and continually improving our customer experience. Fellow executive team members Dave Boothe and David Wong also shared valuable insights into the market, our progress in the USA and Asia, and what lies ahead. It was a chance to recognize our team's resilience and commitment.

But it wasn’t all business! Afternoons were left open to explore Nashville, from the Country Music Hall of Fame to a visit to the Johnny Cash Museum, and a relaxing round of golf. And the evenings were just as memorable—a boat tour on the Cumberland River and a honky-tonk crawl through Broadway left us with plenty of stories to bring back home.
The Power of Coming Together
In a time where remote work is becoming the norm, creating opportunities for in-person connection is more important than ever, and reflects a core part of the people-first culture that defines OW Logistics.
Held every two years, our all-hands team meetings give a chance for our global team to share their experiences and align on our mission and goals for the future. From strategic discussions to informal chats over coffee, these conversations fuel our drive and commitment.
A particular highlight this year was having some of our key partners and customers join us. Their presence allow us to hear directly from those who benefit from our services, with insights that continue to shape our go-to-market strategy, helping us better understand how critical parts of our business model—like OWL Vision and our supporting service offerings—impact their daily operations. It’s these connections that remind us why we do what we do and how we can evolve to meet their needs.
Some may wonder why we dedicate three days to these internal meetings. The answer is simple: these meetings help us deliver better service and more value to our customers and partners.
When we’re together, we gain a deeper understanding of each other’s challenges and strengths. That means smoother collaboration, quicker problem-solving, and ultimately, better service for our clients.
Looking Ahead with Optimism
As our time in Nashville came to a close, I felt a renewed sense of energy and optimism.
Bringing everyone together—team members, partners, and customers—reinforced why we do what we do. It’s about building something that lasts, creating a company that cares deeply about the people it serves, and always striving to be better tomorrow than we were yesterday.
These gatherings ensure that OWL remains a company where people feel connected, valued, and inspired. This fuels our drive to push boundaries and find new ways to serve our customers better. With the dedication I’ve seen from our team and the incredible feedback from our partners, I’m confident we’re on the right path.
To our customers and partners, thank you for your continued trust in OWL. It’s a privilege to serve and collaborate with you, and we’re committed to building a future that benefits you every step of the way. To our team, both in the US, Asia, and in between, thank you for the hard work and energy you bring every day.
